Exhibiting the Charterhouse Lifeboat

The Charterhouse was a lifeboat in service 1909 to 1931 in Fishguard, Wales. The boat is currently being restored for exhibition as an educational resource.

At one stage, the plan was to make her the key feature of a new marina that was to be built in Fishguard. Unfortunately, the marina project has now been shelved.

However, the Charterhouse continues to receive enthusiastic support from Fishguard and Goodwick town council and Pembrokeshire County Council, and from the people of the towns themselves.

The trustees are currently looking at a number of other options. One promising possibility is a joint project with the Tapestry and Ein Hanes projects. It would be an exhibition centre on the sea front at Goodwick.
